EdCity 25A Student Innovation Competition
The EdCity 25A Student Innovation Competition is dedicated to nurturing talent with innovative ideas and technological expertise. Through a dynamic hackathon format, it fosters students’ creative thinking while enhancing their collaboration skills. Participants will apply their technological knowledge to tackle real-world challenges across various sectors of society. By exploring themes in education and social development, students will gain a deeper understanding of the issues they face through hands-on experiences and collaborative discussions, empowering them to devise innovative solutions. Additionally, the event serves as a vital communication platform, promoting connections and integration between students from Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, thus paving the way for new advancements in educational development across both regions.

Learning from Experts
The Learning from Experts seminar is a series of events featuring distinguished individuals from various sectors as speakers, allowing them to share their professional insights and invaluable experiences with students. These experts not only excel in their respective fields but also serve as role models for the younger generation. Through online discussions and interactive exchanges, they will encourage students, impart positive values, and share unique professional insights and valuable life wisdom. This enriching experience aims to ignite students’ passion and motivation, ensuring they leave with meaningful takeaways that can shape their development.
Learning from Experts: How does Sportsmanship influence youth development?
To celebrate Hong Kong Education City’s 25th anniversary, we are organising a series of educational events. The “Learning from Experts” sharing sessions will showcase distinguished individuals from various fields. They will share their valuable experiences with professional insights to inspire students and promote positive values.
We are honoured to have Hong Kong’s outstanding athlete, Ms. Kong Man-wai, Vivian, MH, as the keynote speaker for our inaugural event. Her sharing will provide students with an invaluable learning experience.

Use of AI Summit (AIinLT)
SCOLAR and the Education Bureau, in collaboration with Hong Kong Education City and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, are hosting the International Summit on the Use of AI in Learning and Teaching Languages and Other Subjects & Post-Summit Workshop Series (AIinLT) from 4 to 7 July 2025 (Friday to Monday). This event will provide a practical forum for teachers, researchers, and others in the education sector to gather, learn, and share insights regarding the use of AI in the broad field of education – from language education to arts, mathematics, history and beyond.
In the Summit on 4-5 July, educational practitioners from primary, secondary and tertiary educational contexts and from around the world will present and demonstrate how AI can facilitate teaching and learning in the classroom. In the Post-Summit Workshop Series on 6-7 July, educators will engage in hands-on practice to learn how AI can be used effectively in various educational contexts. The event will also feature a technical provider showcase, introducing educators and learners to technical and digital tools that can enhance learning.
The Summit will feature presentations and teaching demonstrations in Cantonese, Putonghua and English and is free for both attendees and presenters. Teachers may find the registration details for both the Summit and Post-summit Workshop Series on EDB’s Training Calendar System (TCS) in mid-March 2025.
