The competition will be conducted in a format inspired by a hackathon. Participating teams must collaborate and discuss, using design thinking along with knowledge in information and communication technology (ICT) to propose effective and constructive solutions on the theme of Sustainable Development in Education.

The competition will be divided into four stages, as follows:

Submission of Proposals

  • After registering, students must define the focus and content of their proposals based on the competition theme and can refer to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
  • Students need to conduct research based on their defined proposal topic, using innovative thinking, information technology, and artificial intelligence to explore potential solutions.
  • Submit the proposal presentation by April 30, 2025.

Submission requirements:

  • Teams must submit a presentation (Powerpoint*) and the content must include (but is not limited to):
    1. Cover page (including the proposal topic, school name, and team members list)
    2. Explanation of the proposal’s topic background, analytical direction, and suggested solutions
    3. How to respond to the competition theme: Sustainable Development in Education
    4. How to use creative technology and artificial intelligence to solve problems
  • Page count: maximum 40 pages

Online Presentation and Proposal Revision

  • Teams will have a 5-minute online presentation within their designated time slot, during which judges will provide immediate feedback. Students will be given time to revise their presentations before submitting their revised plans.
  • The judges will score based on the performance of the online presentation and the revised content of the presentation.
  • Scoring Criteria: Submitted proposal content and online presentation (50%), Revised proposal content (50%).

  • Proposal (Powerpoint), maximum 40 pages
  • The content must respond to the review comments and make modifications

Online Presentation and Proposal Revision

  • Teams will have a 5-minute online presentation within their designated time slot, during which judges will provide immediate feedback. Students will be given time to revise their presentations before submitting their revised plans.
  • The judges will score based on the performance of the online presentation and the revised content of the presentation.
  • Scoring Criteria: Submitted proposal content and online presentation (50%), Revised proposal content (50%).

Online Presentation and Feedback from Judges

  • Teams will deliver a 5-minute online presentation.
  • Each team will also have a 5-minute consultation session with judges, to gain feedback on their proposals and suggestions for improvement.
  • Students will have one week to refine their proposals based on judges’ feedback and input.
  • Scoring Criteria: 50% for online Hackathon performance, 50% for presentation content.

Submission requirements in this round: 

  • Proposal (Powerpoint), maximum 40 pages
  • The content must respond to the review comments and make modifications

Live Presentation and Public Survey

  • Shortlisted teams will present live for 5 minutes.
  • Present the proposal to the public and conduct surveys and consultations at the final venue within the time limit, showcasing the proposal and its content while gathering public feedback.
  • Following the surveys, each team will have an hour to make final revisions
  • Each team will then deliver a final 10-minute presentation.
  • Scoring Criteria: Judges will assess teams based on the final presentation on the day

Submission requirements in this round:

  • Proposal (Powerpoint), maximum 40 pages
  • Content must present an analysis of their research findings from the public survey.
  • Can include visual models or prototypes that align with the proposal content.

Live Presentation and Public Survey

  • Shortlisted teams will present live for 5 minutes.
  • Present the proposal to the public and conduct surveys and consultations at the final venue within the time limit, showcasing the proposal and its content while gathering public feedback.
  • Following the surveys, each team will have an hour to make final revisions.
  • Each team will then deliver a final 10-minute presentation.
