About us

Hong Kong Education City Limited (EdCity) is a wholly-owned company of the Government of HKSAR. Our portal, EdCity.hk, is a one-stop professional educational portal in Hong Kong which incorporates information, resources, interactive communities and online services, and promotes the use of information technology (I.T.) in improving the effectiveness of teaching and learning. We are now looking for a high caliber professional to join our dynamic team in the following positions.

The Management Trainee Program aims to recruit and groom talented graduates as future leaders of the Company. The Trainees would be selected from the interns of the company’s summer internship program. This program is designed to equip the high-potential talents with the leadership skills and experience needed to excel in their interested area. The program also delivers a sustainable leadership pipeline with competencies needed to collaborate across functional areas of the Company.

2-Year Development Program

The Management Trainee Program is a two-year rotational program that offers opportunities to Management Trainees to rotate to 4 business functions to gain a more holistic view of our business, acquire professional knowledge and skills across functions and develop leadership competencies that are necessary to drive the company for greater achievement in the education industry. The program is structured to provide a well-rounded understanding of our operations in 4 divisions and it is divided into around four six-month rotations.

48-MONTH FAST-TRACK PROGRAMME

Throughout the program, trainees will gain a structured and comprehensive experience:

Work on high-impact projects and initiatives

Engage in cross-functional projects and initiatives to broaden their exposure and experience, and foster collaboration across different departments

Receive mentorship and coaching from senior leaders, government officials and industry experts to guide their professional development and help them navigate their career paths

Participate in specialized leadership development programs to further enhance their management skills and prepare them for higher-level roles

Receive Overseas Learning Opportunties

Receive regular performance feedback to assess their progress, identify areas for improvement, and set new career goals

CAREER PROGRESSION

According to the personalized career development plans that align with their interests and the company’s strategic goals, the management trainees will be offered a supervisory position in a designated department that they will gain deeper exposure and experience in their chosen field, which will help them build a solid foundation for their future career growth and development path as follows:

WE ARE SEEKING APPLICANTS WHO PROCESS THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES & ASPIRATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline; a Master’s degree with work experience is preferred
  • A profile with an international or Mainland background is an added advantage
  • Proven academic excellence and performance
  • Good command of written Chinese and English
  • Fluet in English and Putonghua, speaking Cantonese is an added advantage
  • Strong leadership skills, potential, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible, comfortable with conflict and change.
  • Mature, self-confident and independent
  • Self-starter, eager and quick to learn
  • Looking for a fast track and long-term career in a corporate environment
