The key to driving change in society rests in one’s capacity to be observant of their surroundings and apply their creative and technological talents. The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2024: Student Innovation Award (the Award) aims to inspire students to exhibit their passion for information and communication technology (ICT) and translate innovative concepts into practical solutions for real-world issues. On 22 August 2024 (Thursday), the category judging of the Award concluded successfully, with the winners of the Student Innovation Grand Award and the Gold Awards for each stream set to be announced shortly.
During this critical stage, four entries from primary, junior secondary, senior secondary and higher education streams presented their diligently crafted programmes and prototype designs to a panel of ten expert judges from the Hong Kong information technology sector. They elaborated on the concepts and operation methods behind their projects, demonstrating their hard work and creativity.
Following this stage, the recipients of the Student Innovation Grand Award and the Gold Awards in each stream will soon be unveiled. These winning teams will receive the prototype fund to bring their ideas to life and make a real impact on society. The recipient of the Student Innovation Grand Award will vie for the prestigious ‘Award of the Year’ on 30 October 2024 (Wednesday) alongside the other seven Grand Award winners.
